We Could Be One Step Away From UFOs Being Discussed At the UN, As San Marino Is Reportedly Set To Make Project Titan Decision

Written by Christopher Sharp - 13 January 2023

According to sources known to Liberation Times, on Monday 16 January 2023, San Marino’s parliament is scheduled to discuss and vote on a proposal requesting the United Nations to create an office tasked with organising periodic global Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) conferences.

If approved, it would be the first time since 1978 that the topic has been raised for discussion at the UN. In 1978, Grenada’s UN UAP initiative (led by its then Prime Minister Sir Eric Gairy) ultimately failed following fierce opposition from the United Kingdom.

However, with the topic currently taken seriously by the United States government, and China launching its own UAP investigations, it is hoped that the subject can bring a degree of global unity and cooperation.

If San Marino proceeds with Project Titan, the proposal will be submitted to the UN’s secretary general before undergoing a preliminary examination and discussion. Following this, the proposal would be submitted to a vote at the General Assembly.

Speaking to Liberation Times, Project Titan’s creator and project manager, Paolo Guizzardi commented:

“As creator of Project Titan and its manager on behalf of the ICER and CUN, I sincerely wish the San Marino authorities have the vision to approve the country’s participation in a project which could bring many positive results to both San Marino and the wider world.

“I hope this project can also facilitate and achieve a climate of global unity and cooperation, which is something badly needed today.”

Project Titan had stalled in recent months despite initial progress being made following a positive meeting and presentation to San Marino’s two Heads of State (known as Captains Regent) in January 2022. After San Marino stopped responding to the project, Guizzardi and his team launched a petition, proposing the nation’s participation in Project Titan to the nation’s parliament.

The government of San Marino is no stranger to the subject of UAP, as it has been sponsoring the International UFO Symposium for more than thirty years, organized by the Centro Ufologico Nazionale of Italy (CUN), Italy’s main Ufological organization.

An international conference under the aegis of the UN regarding the state of research on the UAP topic would therefore represent an ideal (albeit unconnected) upgrade of the CUN’s existing long-term initiative and a way for San Marino to capitalize on this multi-decade experience.

The International Coalition for Extraterrestrial Research (ICER) and CUN President, Roberto Pinotti has previously declared that Project Titan would take up the baton of Grenada’s previous UAP initiative.

The ICER was officially registered in 2021, but its origins date back to 2018 when its founding members were invited to a Chinese-backed UAP initiative which culminated in two international congress events in 2018: the first was in Chongqing, China, and the second was held in Moscow, Russia.

A third congress was planned to be decisive; a formal request that would be made to the UN from Heze, China in May 2019. However, it was delayed several times by the Chinese organizers before the initiative was eventually dropped.
