Representative Luna Announces House Oversight UFO Investigation, Leading To A Hearing In May

Written by Christopher Sharp - 18 April 2025

Today, Representative Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the House Oversight Committee and Chair of its Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, has announced via X that a Congressional public hearing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) is scheduled to take place during the week commencing 12 May 2025.

The announcement outlines a timeline of investigation by Oversight Committee members leading to the hearing.

It begins with a UAP briefing on 29 April within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), where classified information can be securely and privately shared among UAP witnesses and Members of Congress.

A UAP roundtable discussion will follow on 30 April or 1 May, involving experts, officials, and Members of Congress. Liberation Times can confirm that the roundtable will be hosted by the UAP Disclosure Fund, an organisation advocating for transparency on UAP.

Liberation Times has confirmed with Oversight Committee staff that the hearing, scheduled for the week commencing 12 May, will be held by the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, chaired by Representative Luna.

On her X page, Representative Luna posted:

‘Big news! Here is a tentative timeline for the @GOPoversight investigation into UAP’s.

‘This inquiry into UAP’s has been the biggest bipartisan, intragovernmental investigation in US history.

‘We look forward to the upcoming investigations, and want to give a special thank you to Mr. David Grusch for providing advice to us.’

Dave Grusch, a UAP whistleblower and former senior intelligence official, has previously testified under oath at a Congressional hearing, alleging the existence of rogue retrieval and reverse-engineering programs involving craft of advanced non-human origin.

Grusch recently joined Representative Eric Burlison's team as a special adviser. Representative Burlison, also a member of the Oversight Committee and Representative Luna’s Task Force, has previously sought to “establish a select committee focused on UAP.”

Last week, speaking on the UAP Unidentified Alien Podcast, Representative Burlison stated that Grusch had provided House Oversight members with the names of 20 officials who are read-in to classified UAP programs.

He added:

“He gave us an indication of which ones will be hostile and which ones will not… Some people we may have to subpoena.”

Reacting to today’s UAP announcement by Representative Luna, Lue Elizondo, who previously led the Pentagon’s UAP investigation, known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, or AATIP, told Liberation Times:

‘I can say unequivocally that Luna and her colleagues are taking the UAP topic extremely seriously.

‘This should be considered a BIG WIN for disclosure advocates.  I am confident more information will be provided by her team after the meetings.’
